from Mirrorless RumorsI am pretty sure Fujirumors is spot on here: The Fuji X-T10 will be announced on may 18! I got similar rumors from my sources and there is little that can go wrong now.
The X-T10 has no ISO dial, X-E2 EVF and built in flash. The real question is how much you will have to pay for it. I hope it will be really cheap because otherwise I doubt it will sell fine!
from Mirrorless RumorsI have yet no specs but a Leica source just told me the camera will be announced tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what kind of sensor the new camera will use. I once heard Sony made a monochrome FF sensor. Maybe the new Leica will use it?
from Mirrorless RumorsApparently the reason why Samsung delayed the new firmware release for the NX1 is quite...surprising:
A source who shared correct Samsung rumors in the past told me that Samsung has "rewritten" the NX1 code. I don't know how deep those changes are. We will likely see that new NX1 code with the next firmware update. Let's hope this means we can expect some great improvements!
April is almost over and in May we will get plenty of new cameras and lenses. Here is a roundup of the planned announcements:

Fuji will announce the X-T10 in mid May.
Panasonic will announce the G7 in mid May.
Olympus will release the pricing info of the new 7-14mm PRO lens that will ship in late June (see BHphoto).
from Mirrorless RumorsToday US readers woke up with some great deals available in their country! Up to $300 off on those cameras:

DxO (Click here) tested the new Samsung NX1 sensor and indeed it is the best APS-C sensor of all mirrorless cameras yet tested. It beats by a hair the current best of the class, the Sony A6000. DxO writes:
from Mirrorless RumorsThe new sensor in the NX1 has upped the stakes in terms of hybrid image quality, making Samsung’s latest hybrid the current king of mirrorless APS-C cameras in our database. The BSI sensor is not only the physically largest sensor of its type, but boasting a 28.2 million pixels, it’s also the highest-resolution APS-C hybrid currently available. With an overall DxOMark Sensor Score of 83 points, the NX1 knocks our previous APS-C hybrid champion, the Sony A6000, down into second place with 82 points.
As we’ve also seen with the impressive image quality results from the latest APS-C sensor in the Nikon D7200, the NX1’s smaller chip offers image quality close to that of full-frame sensors. It’s not quite as good, but still, being just one stop behind in all categories against models such as the Sony A7R, the image quality on the NX1 is impressive.
Add to that high-caliber features such as the 205-point autofocus system and 15fps burst shooting, and the NX1 is an attractive-looking proposition. The slightly bulkier design, not to mention the hefty $2400 price tag, will put off some consumers. For the more discerning enthusiast, however, the DSLR-style body, larger handgrip, optional vertical handgrip, external controls, and great image quality will certainly appeal.
We have that from a reliable source: The new Leica Monochrome camera will be announced next week!
from Mirrorless RumorsThat's quite a surprise! Today Zeiss announced a completely new line of lenses for Sony FE cameras! Unlike Loxia those lenses have autofocus and a huge OLED display on the lens!

ZEISS Batis lenses are available in a wide-angle and portrait focal length and are the perfect match for the existing lenses offered for the system. Digicameinfo spotted the name of a new Leica Monochrome camera registered by the Korean RRA agency.
We have yet no info about the possible specs of the camera! All I got is that there may be a new Leica announcement in mid-end May!
Nikonrumors reports that Nikon is developing a Full Frame Mirrorless camera. In a recent interview at Dpreview Nikon stated that there would be no need for a larger sensor mirrorless camera. But maybe they were just trying to hide their cards. What's strange with the rumor is that apparently Nikon will keep the regular DSLR F-mount for that camera! Just like Pentax did with their bulky K-mount mirrorless cam. Don't know if it makes sense to keep a mount with long flange distance for a mirrorless camera...
Anyway, those are the rumored spec of the camera:
mirrorless / mirrorless-styled
the camera will be small (about the same size as the Olympus E-M1)
no EVF
regular F mount
currently being field tested
the official announcement is expected in late 2015 or early 2016
Fujirumors reports that:
Fujifilm is working on a Super Fast XF lens, that will have a widest opening of F1.0. The source says that the specs are not final until now, but the focal length planed at the moment is around 30mm.
Would be awesome if Fuji would really do it! A lens to remmeber, a lens few will buy but that will make you WOW thinking at it :)
from Mirrorless Rumors
Julian Assange from Wikileaks published the full Sony (North Korea?) hacked material. And among all that stuff SAR spotted the new A7, A6000 and RX series cameras on a product roadmap. Those cameras will be announced by Sony between now and end of June!
The new A7 camera should be the 36MP and 5 axis stabilized A7rII
The new A6100 should feature IBIS too and advanced video recording
The new RX camera could be the Four Thirds sensor RX100m4.
Fuji announced the new XF 16mm f/1.4 WR lens which you can already preorder at BHphoto and Adorama. To learn all you need to know about the lens click over at Rico's hands-on at Fujirumors.
While I do not expect Sony to announce a new RX100M4 model soon I got some reliable info about it. The camera is rumored to increase slightly in size to make space for a much larger sensor. The sensor should be around as big as the one used by the Panasonic LX100.
Hope to get info about the release date soon!
Within the next 48 hours Fuji will announce the new 16mmf /1.4 lens. It has those specs:
– Nano-GI coating
– Works at Low-temperature till minus 10 degrees
- Over-the-counter price is $ 1,150
via Digicameinfo and Fujirumors.
Fujirumors reports that the new Fujinon XF16mm F1.4 R WR will be announced this week.
"It will weigh 375g, have a filter size of 67mm, a Focus range from 0.15m to ∞ , 13 elements 11 groups, 9 (rounded diaphragm opening) 1/3EV (22 steps)."
We have a couple of MFT news coming from the NAB show:
Blackmagic announced two new MFT cameras. The Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera and the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K.
Panasonic will release a new firmware for the GH4 by end of this month. It adds in camera support for anamorphic shooting, improved HDMi out and V-LOG.
Matthew Allard and Eric Naso posted those pictures of the new Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera that will be announced today at Las Vegas NAB show. It's a Micro Four Thirds 4K camera with 13 stops of dynamic range and RAW recording.
Quite an amazing toy! Price and other specs are yet unknown but will be unveiled at 9.30am Las Vegas time!
If you were hoping to get an APS-C or even FF mirrorless camera from Nikon you will have to digest that. In an interview at Dpreview Nikon said:
We still believe that Nikon 1 has room for further evolution. This is the area we want to put effort in to, rather than making bigger sensor mirrorless cameras.
We have two different categories: the D-line and the 1-series, and with these lineups, we believe we’ll meet all the needs of customers.

We have two new Fuji rumors:
Fujirumors says that the new XF90mm f/2.0 lens will be announced in July. And it's rumored to become the best Fuji prime lens to date. Fujirumors also reports that the X-Pro2 will have a 1/8000 mechanical shutter.
Really hope it will not take a long time to get my hands on the X-PRO2. It's now a lot of time I am waiting for it to be announced!
Canon Japan announced the XC10. It's a 4K camera with a 12MP sensor and it will be released in mid June 2015.

For yet unclear reasons the long time rumored Samsung NX1 firmware update got a bit delayed. Will let you know when I have new info about the final release date...
Personal View posted the graphs of the February digital camera sales. As you can see there is no big news. Camera sales are still bad compared to the previous year (which was alreayd a very bad year). And this time both DSLR and Mirrorless camera shipments were lower than the same month 12 months ago. Wondering when this will ever end to fall and fall...
The full detailed numbers can be see on that CIPA PDF.
I guess the question that we have to answer is not "if" but "when" Sony will finally make their first multilayer sensor cameras. The last few years Sony patented many such Foveon alike sensor ideas. And the newest patent underlines their effort to design a much improved version of the Sigma sensor. To get rid of the corner issues of foveon sensor Sony plans to add a lens on top of the sensor. This will correct the Light Ray angle and allow a perfect sharp image on the entire frame.
Really Sony...do it now!
