One new company will join MFT this week. And Tamron may join the Sony FE system.
43rumors spotted a Tweet unveileing that another company will join the Micro Four Thirds system soon.
And Egami spotted a patent showing a new Tamron 28-320mm f/3.5-6.3 Full Frame E-mount lens design. Sounds very likely that Tamron will finally make FE lenses for Sony!

Canon wants to become number 1 in the mirrorless market by end 2017.

On top you can see the mirrorless share graph of the last 12 months in Japan. I am a bit surprised to see Sony loosing shares the last months. But it still remains the number one in Japan closely followed by Olympus.
The original BCN report also states that Canon wants to become the number one in the mirrorless market by end 2017. I guess Canon will have to launch a mirrorless Full Frame system to achieve that...

Canon to announce a new G3 x too (full specs here).
On Friday February 6 Canon will announce also a new G3x camera. It's rumored to have those specs:
